The mathematics is the study of intellect,that prepares a scholar to be dynamic and
versatile in life. The robust curriculum of mathematics is the result of philosophers
that has gone beyond the imagination of the ordinary to design the simple to
complex problems with rugged solutions that has become an essential part of our
daily life. At every step is mathematics in our journey to accomplish our
beautifuland prosperous life! No matter what field or profession one is in,
mathematics has become an essential tool to counter the respective simple to
complex issues with ever- ready statistics to prove the facts. Without mathematics
is like a ship without its sail with failed journey.
ACTIVITIES AND INITATIVES
The department has been taking part in the organised Fiji Mathematics
Competition. In school, the department involves students during the mathematics
weeks where student participate in activities organised by the relentless teachers.
The department this year like yester years is ready to take part in organised
national level competitions in mathematics and is already prepared with plans to
prepare students in the upcoming external examinations for quality results.
