A warm greeting to you all from the Department of Commercial Studies. With great pleasure I wish to
convey the important messages for the department in Ba SanatanCollege website.
The department consists of four members who collaborate with each other to ensure that the respective
syllabi at all levels are implemented with efficiency.
This year there are 145 students taking Commercial Studies in Year 9 and Year 10, 33 students take
Accounting and 39 students takeEconomics from Year 11 to Year 13 who are given the best education and
training in commerce.
It’s my profound pleasure to list that Varshika Nandhani Raj has set a new record in 2021 Fiji Year 13
Certificate Examination with a mark of 97%.

To meet the current demands of the societyin financial literacy, the department conducted Commerce Week
in week 12 of Term 1 with a theme “Be Money Wise”.As said by Lao Tzu “A Journey of thousand miles
must begin with a single step.” Thus, the students of the collegethrough such activities are gaining interest
and taking a small step towards acquiring the savings and investment skills.
